The Colony Hotel is a hidden Oasis in the hustle and bustle of Seminyak.
Nestled down a small driveway off the prominent street in Seminyak, resides The Colony Hotel (click here). This boutique colonial inspired oasis is newly built and adults only. It’s walking distance to the beach, trendy nightspots, restaurants, cafes (Sea Circus is literally at the end of the driveway) and shops.
The Colony only has 20 rooms to its name which instantly providing a more intimate stay for guests that are looking for a quieter place to unwind. The hotels main focal point is the central 16-metre swimming pool that the hotel is wrapped around.
The Room:
We stayed in the deluxe room, on the ground level, which looked straight out to the pool from our bed. Our room was on the comfy side yet still seemed spacious for two people thanks to the abundance of natural light that flooded through the its picture windows. The dual tone bathroom was spacious with its light stone tiles and a contrasting dark marble basin as its feature. Once again more natural light flooded the room from the skylight above the shower.
Food & Beverage:
The Colony also had a quaint little cafe that did a simple breakfast. It wasn’t anything extravagant but what we ate was still tasty.
Gym & Pool:
There’s no gym at The Colony. The pool however is lovely and is the main drawcard.
Pros:

- Great location
- Quiet & relaxing (due to no children)
Cons:
- No intimate privacy from bedroom to pool
- As it was a boutique, only breakfast was available
Overall:
The Colony Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel with a nice relaxed vibe that is smack bang in the middle of Seminyak and is perfect for an adults only (16 years and older) getaway.
