Check’n In
As our stay was upgraded thanks to Kiwi Collection so walking through customs we were collected by 2 brand new BMW M7’s for transport from the airport (for only 3 of us). If anyone of you reading this has travelled from New Delhi Airport you know at times how troubling the traffic can be. Thanks to Kiwi Collection upgrade we also got to go through a side entrance of the airport for a quick getaway. WINNING!!
The drive was comfortable and our driver (who we had for the entire stay) was great. Nearly the politest man I have come across and was great to speak to concerning everything that was going on concerning the Indian capital.

We arrived into our hotel at around 9pm so the entire hotel was lit up. Walking into the lobby, we were greeted in a traditional manor. The opulence, grandeur and elegance of the hotel’s lobby leaves you speechless.
Soaring ceilings, Murano chandeliers, large Persian rugs and dedicated sitting areas are only surpassed by the beautifully lit manicured garden and lawns you can view from the floor to ceiling windows.
After we took a lengthy moment to look around the the lobby our check in was swift. Our passports were collected, and we were taken to our rooms straight away to be checked in.
The Room
We stayed in the Royal Club Room which was a nice upgrade thanks to Kiwi Collection the room practical, with a beautiful marble bathroom, mahogany desk area and views out onto the vast green cityscape and surrounds. (A great place to sit down and watch the world go by (and the odd cow roam up and down the streets!)

There are 254 rooms and suites within the Leela Palace New Delhi. The Presidential suite being absolutely mind blowing. Bulletproof glass an all!
Food & Beverage
One of the most exciting things about the Leela Palace New Delhi, is the culinary experience. We were fortunate enough to have two meals – one at Megu (Japanese) and one at Jamavar (Modern Indian). Both meals were exceptional.

Megu especially had some of the best Japanese cuisine I have ever eaten. A big call especially when I lived in Japan for 2 years!
Breakfast is served in the Qube, which is a glass cubed shaped dining area. We had breakfast here twice, with a great selection of dosa’s and international buffet selections. Everything is impeccably fresh and full of so many wonderful flavours.
Pool & Gym
The rooftop pool is especially beautiful, with beautiful gold enchanting bell, vertical gardens next to the pool, with a wonderful outlook to the Diplmoatic enclave and surrounding leafy parks.
The fitness room is large and well equipped for a workout, located within the EPSA, allowing you total access to sauna and steam rooms.

Spa
The Leela Palace New Delhi is fit with virtually everything you’d want in a luxury hotel and so much more. There is a double story spa (EPSA), with seven beautiful treatment rooms, a salon, male & female split pools, steam rooms and saunas.
Treatments at the EPSA are fully customisable to suit your own personal needs, with a large focus on treatments focusing on Ayurvedic traditions. There is even a dedicated wellness cafe for a post treatment refreshing snack.
