Klapsons | Singapore

‘The bed at Klapsons was so big it could have been ‘oversized’ (if that is even possible). It was extremely comfy and could have been one of the best sleeps I’ve had in Singapore’.

The 17 individual & unique rooms which make up the Klapsons boutique hotel is located just on the edge of Marina Bay business district, and is surrounded by a selection of hawker markets which are great for local cusines.

Check’n In:

As you enter Klapsons (click here) you are greeted by a giant reflective orb (reminiscent of the 98′ Dustin Hoffman movie ‘Sphere”), that doubles as a reception area. The room is illuminated with bold, bright neon lights that pop against the orbs brilliant white interior surface. The orb is central to two massive reflective pillars that forever climb into the colourful ‘marshmellow’ like ceiling. Designers William Sawaya & Moroni transcended their vision of comfort and futuristic design to really dazzle when arriving to this luxury boutique hotel and let me tell you they sure did not miss.

The Room:

Our room was extremely spacious and bathed in natural light. As we were in the all white room, it was simplistic (we were told each room has it’s own particular colour & theme). The suite was definitely designed to relax in the utmost comfort, boasting a separate lounge area, seperate in room jacuzzi and seperate rain shower, everything was so spaced out. It even had it’s own little sunbathing terrace.

As we were on the 3rd floor we looked out through the tree tops which gave it a really nice splash of greenery against the all white room. It was a little noisy during the day when the door was open but that is hardly the fault of the hotel, seeing Singapore is such a vibrant city.

Each room is unique with every design/dècor different. So this review is based solely on this particular room.

The Room Opened Up To Its' Private Sundeck

Food & Beverage:

There was an area for a restaurant downstairs, however this was undergoing a major refurb and wasn’t open during our stay.

If you are up for some evening cocktails and nibbles, Fabrika has got you covered. Fabrika is an alfresco sky terrace bar by Chivas18 located on the 17th floor. With traditional satay being cooked right in front of you, live music and a heavy after work crowd buzz, Fabrika is the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the office.

Pool & Gym:

As Klapsons is a small boutique hotel, you are not graced with the amenities like a pool or a gym.

Pros:

  • Extremely Spacious
  • Large bed (we are talking huge!)
  • Contemporary
  • Fabrika the sky terrace
  • Radio in shower
  • Complimentary mini bar
  • Very fast wifi

Cons:

  • No gym or pool
  • Restaurant was under construction
  • No room service/breakfast
Great Place For A Selfie

Overall:

Our stay at The Klapsons was very enjoyable. Our suite was so spacious and it was great to spread out and relax in the sunbathed room.

Fabrika was a hit also.
