Gardens by the Bay is the epitome of Singapore’s vision for a City in a Garden

Gardens By The Bay (click here) is not only a beautiful vision of Lucious greenery sprawled across 101 hectares, it is also one of the worlds leading pioneers of innovative eco system & environmental sustainably.

Visiting Gardens by the Bay is not just for the children, adults too will be amazed with the sheer size and grander of the structures, in fact, the Flower Dome & Cloud are the worlds largest coluqmnless climate controlled greenhouses.

Gardens by the Bay have been meticulously planned and constructed to enhance and bring to life the National Parks Board of Singapore’s vision to create a city in a garden. Which is truly emulated throughout the entire city, from the Greenscape gardens in buildings, right through to the Gardens by the Bay.

Inside the Flower Dome, there are more than 32,000 plants comprising of over 160 species and varieties. Adjacent to the Flower Dome, the misty Cloud Forest dome which is home to the worlds largest indoor waterfall, accompanied by 16 story tall vertical gardens and 35m high trees. To make this more spectacular, to know that these vertical gardens collect rainwater and generate solar power for the entire parks conservatories, is mind blowing.

If the domes aren’t enough to entice you, take a walk on the wild side with the 128m long walkway between the Supertrees. Many of these Supertrees are embedded with environmentally sustainable functions such as photovoltaic cells on their canopies to harvest solar energy which is used to light up the Supertrees.

After a day of adventuring, indulge into 1 of the 3 restaurants that the Park has to offer.

    1. Oh this makes me so happy Linda! Singapore has a lot of hidden gems! This one not so hidden, although this was the first time that I had got to explore both domes (I had no idea the second dome existed!)
