Hands up who thinks only of their teeth when they hear of “mouth health” or “brush your teeth”.
While, literally yes you only hear the word teeth but for the larger picture should we not be thinking of our entire mouth? In short, yes. But, I will be the first to put my hand up and say, when I think about a trip to the dentist the first thing that comes to mind is my teeth.
Over the past few months I have been working with Colgate and their new Colgate Total, which is all about whole mouth health. And to be honest, it really has helped expand my thoughts on just how important it is to look after not only my pearly whites, but also my tongue, cheeks and gums.

What is so important about whole mouth health?
So, mouth health has been likened to the window or gateway to good health.
This is why it is vital for us to pay attention to not just brushing out teeth, but also protecting our tongue, cheeks and gums too.
By using a toothpaste, such as New Colgate Total (for which Colgate has done the hard work for us with over 25 years of R&D!), it provides us (the consumer) with protection against plaque, stains, tartar and cavities. New Colgate Total is a breakthrough formula that helps keep your whole mouth healthy.
On top of making sure to protect your whole mouth, by just incorporating a little bit more mindfulness into brushing your teeth (which you can see my earlier post about it here), think of this as just a little upgrade to your life by having a healthy mouth & healthy mind!
