Enhance The Most Natural You w/ Miss Franc
Miss Franc is one of Sydney’s leading boutique facial rejuvenation clinics located in Woollahra. I absolutely adore the team at Miss Franc, having become one of my ‘go to’ places for treatments, facials and skin rejuvenation. I sat down with Francine Ithier owner of Miss Franc, and spoke to her all about things beauty.
KR: Francine we absolutely love you! You have become one of the leading cosmetic specialists in Sydney, and my go to gal for my skin. Tell us about your journey in creating Miss Franc.
Miss Franc: Oh thank you!! First of all I decided to create my own business because I didn’t believe in a lot of anti-aging regimes and philosophies that are out there. I believe that anti-aging doesn’t just stop with a needle to the face; it goes way beyond what we can do with a needle. What people can do for themselves internally far out ways, what a simple jab can do externally. My philosophy came with my own experience and my own journey with my spiritual healer. She taught me to work with myself internally and to find out what works best for me, so with this in mind I have now put this into practice with a lot of my clients.
KR: You once said that “Beauty isn’t about vanity, it’s about confidence and self-esteem”, tell us a little bit more about what you mean here?
Miss Franc: When a woman looks great she feels great! It’s all self esteem. A little bit goes a long way, self esteem is both internal and external and if I can do my part helping a women look the best that she can externally, then my thought process is that self esteem will just come naturally.
KR: We love your holistic approach to enhancing the ‘most natural you’. What treatments do you offer?
Miss Franc: Hydrating and anti ageing facials with enzymes and herbs, all of my skin care is non toxic. It took me 12 months to find the perfect plant based skin care range, it suits my philosophy here at Miss Franc. I also offer a whole range of injectables to enhance your natural beauty.
KR: What is your morning & night routine?
Miss Franc: Always cleanse before bed, even if you don’t have makeup on, you collect a lot of dirt on your face over the duration of the day. Then, tone your face to neutralise your PH. A good serum started early really is advisable, a vitamin c brightening serum and then moisturise. Keep it simple! You don’t need to buy super expensive stuff (nor should you buy things from supermarkets) I like to use the rule of thumb that if you wouldn’t eat it, don’t put it on your face (in other words, stick to natural plant based ingredients).
KR: You have helped me understand what my skin needs, how can you help our readers?
Miss Franc: Best advice to young girls, do your research on ingredients & diet. Diet is extremely important, what you put in your body will result in what comes out on your face. Try and avoid sugar and stay hydrated.
KR: What should we do if we all of a sudden get break outs?
Miss Franc: Keep calm, eat clean, breakouts are primarily hormonal and diet related. Hygiene plays a big key once you see a nasty break out, wash your pillow cases regularly, clean hair & regular facials.
KR: Should we pop or not?
Miss Franc: Well! That is the magic question isn’t it? If you want to pop, my first recommendation is to go to a professional, however, if you want to do it at home, do it in a very sterile environment. If you have a nasty white head, get a sterile needle, take the head off by pricking just the tip; then extract it by pushing on the skin around it. Pimple creams do work by drying it out, if you get it early enough.
KR: Big no no’s for skin care?
Miss Franc:
1. Going to bed with makeup on.
2. Sunbathing for long periods of time in harsh sun.
3. Forgetting to exfoliate! No skin care product will penetrate skin if you don’t exfoliate.
