Black Chicken Remedies

The philosophy behind Black Chicken Remedies is one I can relate to very easy. You all know that living a “low tox” life is very important to me. For those of you that follow my social channels, you would know all too well how I have been going through a pretty hard core heavy metals detox after getting some pretty hefty results back from my doctor last year.

I was fortunate enough to come across this little beauty a few months back when I was desperate to find a natural deodorant that wasn’t loaded full of aluminium as it was essential for me during my detoxing stage.

Quick Fact: Did you know that most household ‘safe products’ like deodorants on the market today contain 7 ingredients that are mostly harmful to your body. Ingredients including Aluminium Compounds, Triclosans & Silicas.

After reading Chey Birch’s (Black Chicken’s founder) story on their website it re-emphasised the importance of knowing exactly what type of products to use on your body. It came with great shock to learn the amount of chemicals my body was being subjected to while using everyday  ‘safe products’.

After going through my own heavy metal detox, I will be writing a full list of things to avoid when purchasing products from our supermarkets in the next few weeks, which is what lead me to trialling some Black Chicken Remedies products for myself.

After trialling several of her products, I was asked to feature on the Black Chicken Remedies guest blog, where I gave a little run down on my journey to date and what I thought of the Black Chicken products (mainly the dry shampoo, cacao mask and balm).

So if you want to find out what products I am loving and how you can make the easy swap today you can read the full article here.

  1. Hi Kiera,
My mum has just been told she needs to do chemo and I have been researching about different oils and products they are saying for her to use. One of them is baby oil. I remember you said in your instagram story that baby oil was bad. Would that balm be better? I also want to get her an oil diffuser for the hospital room – what scent would you recommend?
Thank you for being such a beautiful person inside and out – i love the direction you have taken your message.

    1. Hi Sarah,
Thank you for such a beautiful comment.
I absolutely love the balm – I take it wherever I go. Depending on how dry your mumas skin is I would think this would be great for those really sore spots.
An oil diffuser is such an amazing idea! I am pretty sure Black Chicken have their own too! If you are ordering the balm I would 100% get this also to pop in your diffuser – https://blackchicken.com.au/product/respire-essential-oil-blend/
Thank you so much for taking the time to send me such a nice message – I really appreciate it and it makes me so happy that I have finally taken this shift into a more holistic way of life.
      Sending you lots of love
      K x

  2. What is your favourite inhaler? I can’t decide!
