Studio M

“Studio M’s bright neon lights were fun and electrifying and there was a buzz of people checking in and out”

We arrived at Studio M (click here) at around 11pm after the long haul from Sydney. Located in the heart of Robertson Quay, close to many restaurants and bars and short stroll to the bustling Clark Quay nightlife area.

Check’n In

Walking into the lobby of Studio M was like entering into a somewhat extremely busy fluorescent future.

The Room

Our room had a nice view of the river and glimpses of the CBD skyline, the huge windows gave our room a beautiful sun drenched feel.

We were in the Studio Loft room, designed to give you maximum space, with a study/work space up in a mezzanine level. The bed, kitchenette and bathroom were downstairs. There was limited space downstairs to keep the bag, so we had to lug our luggage up the stairs, which was a bit of a pain.

Food & Beverage

Breakfast was actually really disappointing. If I had stayed more than a night, I would not have eaten here again. The cute little deli/patisserie downstairs however looked much more appealing with a big selection of goodies.

Pool & Gym

Within the hotel, there is a very relaxed ‘open air’ feel on the second level, with a 25m lap pool, gym & private ‘cabanas’ area and if you’re lucky enough there can be a slight breeze which takes the punch out of Singapore hot & humid weather.

First In Best Dressed
The Open Deck

  • Good use of space – small yet comfortable
  • Light and bright
  • Beautiful views of the river and skyline
  • Great bed (very comfy!)
  • Friendly service
  • Great Wifi

  • A little hard to get bags upstairs into loft
  • Breakfast was not good
  • Very small shower
  • It was very busy, which made service a little slow

The printed high ceilings, the comfy bed and the futuristic ambience throughout the hotel made it a very enjoyable stay. However, If were to stay here again I would opt for a bigger room and try and find breakfast in one of the many great cafes around Robertson Quay.
