    Fashion On Deck

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_single_image image=”35320″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]I was extremely fortunate enough to attend Jessica Minh Anh (renowned global fashion sensation) J Spring 2016 fashion show. It took place onboard the sundeck of the Costa Luminosa, with the backdrop a full interrupted view of the harbour. Jessica’s vision for modern fashion and couture forward thinking, created a lot of hype and anticipation for her upcoming show, so as you can imagine I was pretty excited to be attending!

On the morning of the event, the forecast for the day looked promising, with recent days being torrential rain, a lot of guests were nervous of the event being rained out, however, luck was on our side. In fact, it was rather hot and the issue of no shade was a little problematic!

The exclusive red carpet event premiered nearly 100 haute couture and ready to wear dresses from around the world. I personally wasn’t blown away with every outfit, but there definitely were some gorgeous pieces in the collection. The team from Lancome & Redken helped create futuristic looks. Jessica’s architectural hairstyle in the formation of the Sydney Harbour Bridge was a show stopper in itself.

The experience was sensational, having the runway on the top of Costa Luminosa, with the Sydney Harbour as the backdrop was breathtaking. Having already entertained and showcased her talent on top of the One World Trade Centre, Grand Canyon and Eifel Tower, I am very interested in where she will pop up next!

I wore a beautiful dress from Amy Taylor Collection which you can see more of here.

    A big thankyou to J Model Management for inviting me.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35318″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35319″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”37018″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]I was first introduced to the Source Bulk Foods family last year, as part of their “Source Ambassador Program”. I was immediately intrigued by the idea of a Krumbled x SBF partnership as our household is always on the hunt to find waste free solutions, not to mention stock our pantry with sustainable produce.

Being Australia’s largest specialised bulk foods retailer, the husband and wife team (Paul & Emma) are taking Australia by storm. After making a sea change up to Byron, they decided to open their first store in Mullumbimby in 2012. Having now grown to over 20+ franchises, the Source family are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to reduce waste in a big way.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”37019″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]

What to expect at a local “Source” store?

    Bacon Brewfast

    [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_single_image image=”35763″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column_text]*Note to self: refrain from bacon puns.

For those of you who don’t know, I am in a serious relationship with food. Good food. Primarily, (mainly) healthy – yes. However, every now and then comes a point in time, where I love a little somethin’ somethin’.

When I found out that my gorgeous clients The Missing Piece & The Vogue Café were going to be involved in this year’s Bacon Brewfest, I couldn’t resist going and showing my support.

So, I was bacon my way downtown to the Brewfest in Central Park (Broadway, Sydney), we arrived at around midday, and the line was about 20 minutes long, just as we were about to get to the front of the line, we were told that downstairs was at maximum capacity and for us to go upstairs (4 levels) to the sweets and drinks section. This was a little annoying, as the whole entry process had taken around 40 minutes and I was starving.

Upstairs there were all of the sweets, snack and brew stalls. It was reasonably busy, with a selection of bacon-infused sweets and bacon packed snacks (think crackling, mac n cheese with bacon, jerk sauce etc).

Downstairs, home to the food, it was a bit of a chaotic mess. The stalls, were packed, with the lunchtime rush in full swing and with little seating options. What was off-putting, wasn’t the lengthy waits of the stalls, they were doing the best job that they could, it was the extremely impatient people that were simply rude. People, let me just say, if you are in a line, and you are hungry, you can see that the staff is doing as much as they possibly can, simply ask how long the wait will be. Was the wait 20-30 mins? Go for a wonder, then, come back or, if you are that impatient, go elsewhere.

Overall, the food was pretty good (the shakes were delicious). It was the layout (having food and beverages separate) and the general patron vibe that kind of annoyed me. I will be back next year, though, with hopefully a better atmosphere

    Bacon me crazy.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”35762″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35760″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35758″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35761″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”35757″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
